Most ‘New Build’ homes are bought as blank canvas’s, when interior design is concerned. Once built, the insides are painted white, ready for sale, and for the new owners to put their own stamp on the decor.

However, the typical new build interior minimal style is something I find buyers can struggle to stray from. It can be hard to envisage a truly unique interior design, when so many new properties begin life looking very similar.

With assistance from me, these customers have given their new build house rooms a complete makeover, ensuring they truly feel like home. Reflecting the tastes and personalities of the individuals/families living in these houses was so important to achieve a unique look and distinctive feel. My customers now feel proud of the interiors of their brand new homes, and have been given confidence to try exciting things with their decor – even in new build properties.

Sunneva’s Multi Functional Family Living Room

This lounge had to act as a comfortable living room for a large family, as well as accommodating musical instruments and a toddler’s play section, all without lacking style. The transformation has gone from a neutral, sparse, impersonal room, to a beautifully individual living space. Although large, it is now cosy and warm, as well as colourful and quirky.

Ngozi’s Contemporary Styled Lounge

Ngozi has very specific taste and was able to portray her style via unique shaped furniture and a splash of her favourite colours. The walls remained bright white, but the new flooring and contents of the room have changed this room entirely.

This living room is now filled with character and you can see more photos of this makeover here.
