I have slowly been working on my own home project for the past couple of years, following our house extension. I will be sharing an update post every so often on my website, documenting our progress so far. Lots has been happening since my last related post , but there is still much more to be done.

The main area of focus for now, is the downstairs extension space. This includes the newly positioned kitchen, a dining area and a lounge area, as well as a new shower room and toilet.

Like anybody who undergoes an extensive house renovation, I want the end result to be perfect – a true reflection of myself and my family, both interior and exterior.

Structurally, I am really happy with how the exterior looks but it needs big works done, in terms of a full aesthetic makeover. We will get to this eventually. For now, we are dealing with making the interior look special, so we can enjoy our new space.

Small Bathroom

This shower room and toilet is now done. It has been so handy having an extra bathroom, and we have managed to fit in everything we need to fill this small space.

Daughter’s Bedroom

We interrupted the downstairs decorating to sort out the kids bedrooms. They were desperate for new rooms, so it seemed only fair to take some time out to transform the interiors of their younger spaces.

My daughter’s room needed to change from a nursery to a proper kids bedroom and Stitch was her chosen theme.

Son’s Bedroom

My son’s bedroom needed an older look, to include his hobbies and to grow with him in his teen years.

Current Project

We are now continuing on with the biggest area in the house as mentioned earlier, the open plan downstairs room.

There are some wonderful things happening. Gorgeous finishes, furniture and colours which I am selecting carefully to create a stylish, homely and timeless interior. Here are some snippets of how it is looking….
