20 Bold Print Wallpapers for under £20 per roll
I don't know about you but I love nothing better than a dramatic print wall covering that makes you stop and stare. The bolder, the better in my opinion, so I've selected 20 of my favourite patterned wallpapers that are on the market now and won't break the bank.
1
Grandeco Exotic Red Paste the Paper Wallpaper - Homebase - £9.99
I absolutely love this quirky and colourful print. A more interesting take on the tropical trend. The bright colours from the parrots can be easily incorporated into the rest of your decor.
2
Boutique Blue Geometric Smooth Finish Wallpaper - B&Q - £16
A detailed lined pattern that would look beautiful complemented by subtle copper details. This paper would look fantastic covering every wall in the room as the print is not intense enough to swamp a space. It would also suit a hallway/landing extremely well.
3
Arthouse Painted Stripe Ochre Wallpaper - Homebase - £16.50
Horizontal stripes are rarely seen as much as vertical ones in home decor so why not be a bit different? If your room is larger then this a wall covering you can get away with more. Mustard yellow is everywhere at the moment so you will have no problems accessorising this look.
4
Gold Foil Slate Wallpaper - B&M - £19.99
This tile effect wallpaper would, of course, be fantastic in a glam bathroom or kitchen but tiles (or tile prints in this case) don't have to be restricted to these rooms. I can just imagine this with simple-lined furniture in a minimalistic setting.
5
Trippy Orange Wallpaper - Graham & Brown - £16
This retro style wallpaper has a fun bright print that would look great paired with mid-century modern furniture. Team with contemporary elements for a modern take on a classic 70's style pattern.
6
Gold Foil Slate Wallpaper - B&M - £19.99
This tile effect wallpaper would, of course, be fantastic in a glam bathroom or kitchen but tiles (or tile prints in this case) don't have to be restricted to these rooms. I can just imagine this with simple-lined furniture in a minimalistic setting.
7
Arthouse Wallpaper Elephant Grove Aubergine - Wilko's - £15
A graceful wall covering showing beautiful scenes. This is a wonderful paper for animal lovers. The colour combination is dramatic but sophisticated. The aubergine is on trend with the berry shades around at the moment too.
8
Muriva Caden Triangle Wallpaper Silver - I Love Wallpaper - £12
I love the imperfect look of this triangle pattern. It looks great in the glam room photographed but this would also suit a more rustic or industrial style setting due to its raw and textured appearance.
9
Fine Décor Marble Effect Geo Wallpaper - Next - £12
A funky textured geometric look that is very neutral in colour but so interesting to look at. This paper would be a great feature amongst minimal white interiors. It would also look beautiful combined with wood and metal furniture. Mix with pale pastels for a splash of complementary colour.
10
Holden Congo Wallpaper Pink - Homebase - £12.95
A beautiful exotic wallpaper that covers both botanical and art deco themes. There is a lot going on here, but this would look stunning in wall inserts to accentuate the vertical lines. The bright colours of nature against the subtle pale pink is a striking combination. Soft pinks are huge in interiors right now, so this wallpaper would add a quirky take on this current colour trend.
11
Arthouse Pindorama Navy Blue Wallpaper - Wilko's - £13
A vibrant floral print wallpaper that is perfect for bright decor lovers. This would be an amazing background for adding layers of different prints and pattern to your decor. If you are not feeling this daring, simply compliment with plain, bright accessories as shown on this photo.
12
Dotty Gold Wallpaper - Graham & Brown - £15
You may relate polka dot patterns more to children, but imagine this simple yet bold pattern against sleek white walls and a touch of gold detail in your decor scheme. Stunning!
13
Superfresco Easy - Green cactus floral wallpaper - Debenhams - £14.99
This fun cactus print would bring life to any kind of space. This would suit both adults and kids decor. It could be overpowering though, so I would avoid covering the whole room.
14
Rasch Deco Pink & Rose gold effect Fan Wallpaper - B&Q - £15
An example of patterned wallpaper for small Living room or Bedroom. This small-scale print would give a wall lots of coverage, gaining perfect impact for its glam gatsby style decoration.
15
A.S. Creation Pop colours Blue & Grey Metallic Wallpaper - B&Q - £18
A fun colourful pattern that could be again used in both adults and kids decor schemes. I picture this with Scandi style furniture and bold primary coloured accessories.
16
Arthouse Foil In Bloom Mono Wallpaper - Homebase - £19.99
This shimmery wallpaper brings a touch of glam to a traditional floral print. Glam it up with glitzy interiors or tone it down with a vintage vibe.
17
Gold Green Palm leaf Wallpaper - B&Q - £16
The tropical trend continues. This is a really subtle forest green wallpaper that will stand the test of time in the style stakes. Green looks wonderful mixed with other colours, and this would be amazing with darks, brights or pale tones.
18
House of Alice Onyx Marble Metallic Wallpaper Navy Blue Gold - I Love Wallpaper - £15
I love this sophisticated print. This colour blue would sit well with so many other shades. A lovely backdrop for a kitchen or team with strong statement furniture pieces in the living room.
19
Statement Rainforest Metallic Wallpaper - B&Q - £14
A fun conversation multicoloured wallpaper that will put a smile on anyone's face. Friend's of mine have this in their downstairs cloakroom and it looks fab!
20
Graham & Brown Drama Red Wallpaper - B&Q - £18
A contemporary damask wallpaper to bring drama to any room. This elaborate paper would look fantastic with the current brass trend. Include a few brass details in your room to set off this beautiful golden pattern.
Wallpapers are being used in lots of alternative ways. Think creatively when finding a way to display it. Remember it doesn't have to be on all four walls. It could be inserted into wall mouldings, to cover a chimney breast to decorate large wardrobes or on your ceiling. Whatever your preferred style - there is a bold print wallpaper for every taste. It's just about finding one you are comfortable with and using it in the right way to achieve the look you want.
